It’s batman day and it’s my favorite day of the year.
I’ve been a fan of batman since I was a boy.
My gateway into comics was through the caped crusader.
In the 90’s as a child, I watched batman: the animated series. The Schumacher films and of course the 1966 batman series.
I got into the comics when I was alittle bit older.
Some choices made from some writers have been hard to swallow. But others have been easier to deal with.
Batman has also been instrumental in me discovering my queerness when I was younger.
My foray into the leather community and into bdsm has a lot to do with the caped crusader and the boy wonder.
All of those traps and situations that they gotten themselves into tickled my fancy. And still does to this very day.
Batman’s queerness helped me to shape and form my very own.
And for that I shall always be grateful to him.
Bruce wayne will always have a place in my heart just for him and that’s highly unlikely to change at anytime.
Everyday is batman day over here. But today is a glorious day and I’m glad that I get to celebrate it.
